The Prospector Theater, a first of its kind movie house in the U.S., is opening for business in November of 2014. It’s in downtown Ridgefield. It’s the brain child of Valerie Jensen whose sister has Down Syndrome. Valerie wants people like her sister and others with disabilities to feel wanted and needed. Over four years Jensen revitalized a vacant movie theater and her dream is now reality.
