Graham Parker and The Rumour
Tuesday, June 16 at 8pm
His quirky-blue-collar image is often believed to be a major influence on the public persona of many British musicians, most notably Elvis Costello, Paul Weller and Joe Jackson.  The bands’ classic 1979 release, “Squeezing Out Sparks,” cemented their position as one of Britain’s top live acts and ensured sell out concerts on their seemingly endless world tours.

Tuesday, June 23 at 8pm
Singer-songwriter Madeleine Peyroux’s ‘one of a kind’ voice has carried the Jazz artist from busking on the streets of Paris, all the way to mainstream recognition.  Through intensely distinctive renditions of old classics and modern tunes by the likes of  Leonard Cohen and The Beatles, Peyroux has proved to be an insightful ‘interpreter’ with a consistently impeccable choice of material. Her performance at the Playhouse will be an intimate trio configuration of voice, guitar and bass.
